Kepa starts and keeps a clean sheet, didn’t do bad and pundits want to take jabs straight away. Leave the man alone and give him the chance the new coach is

Missed a sitter still, but, unlike under Lampard where he didn’t look like a footballer at all during his last 10 games, Tuchel has made him valuable to the team in other parts of the game. Got MOTM against Sheffield Utd, and again today deservedly. Tuchels system seems to create a lot of space for Werner and Hudson Odoi, sometimes amazed with the amount of space they have, which he seems to do against the better teams as well. As a Chelsea fan and being Lampard out after the Liverpool game earlier this season, it was getting frustrating when the Chelsea fans one by one were scapegoating the team to protect Lampard….until they had no one left but Lampard to blame. One that came of the worst was Kepa. Last season was never his fault, his stats under Sarri were great, finished 3rd in clean sheets and played a vital role in getting us 3rd and Europa trophy. And somehow it all became his fault when Lampards crappy system that had no direction when pressing after losing possession, and no sense of rhythm to play the high line systematically (leaving huge gaps between defensive line and midfield line) led to us getting our worst defensive record in the PL in our premier league history.
With an actual experienced manager now, we look like a unit again, playing good football, solid defence (only rudiger own goal), Alonso is back, Azpi is back and Kepa is now back, we have an actual identity, Werner looks like a footballer again, and brings confidence that Chelsea can put on a major title challenge and maybe even win it next season. We should have been at least in the mix this season had it not been for an overrated manager in charge constantly being protected by the media and chelsea fans who can’t look past the legend status he has as a player.
